This series animates the crashing and receding of a wave in 6 snapshots, from one’s perspective looking down while standing in the water’s edge. One wave has an entire cycle of life containing both aggressively chaotic and placidly delicate energy.
Tinted charcoal and colored pencil highlights on Strathmore 400 series bristol drawing paper, 2024. Sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging. Hand-signed by the artist on the back, unframed.
