Rusted Night
This piece is one of my first experiments with charcoal, where I was exploring how to control its messy nature and create evocative atmosphere. This started as a study of some rusty metal texture, and then I began to see it as an abstracted and flattened landscape—thus inspiring the inclusion of the wolf to transform the piece.
Charcoal on acid-free 400 series Strathmore bristol paper, 2013. Sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging. Hand-signed by the artist, unframed. Framing available for an additional fee, message the artist to discuss. As with any indoor artwork, avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Reproductions may not be made without permission.
