Superbloom Collection
Summer 2024
It’s an amazing natural event where many species of flowers cover the arid landscape after periods of heavy rainfall.
I saw one for the first time back in 2019 at the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve.
This is one of a few spots around Southern California where you can see endless rolling hills of flowers.
Honestly, the sight took my breath away!
This is a rare and beautiful transformation of the landscape, so I wanted to capture that magic for my latest collection of art.
It’s actually illegal to pick these wildflowers, as they are protected species.
Since we can’t enjoy these special flowers in a vase at home, I thought I would create paintings that look like superbloom wildflower bouquets.
This way people can feel the sense of wonder at gazing at these bright magical flowers year round, and marvel at their delicate shapes up close that I have meticulously recreated.
The Superbloom phenomenon is a good reminder that extraordinary moments can happen if we are patient enough to wait for them to unfold.
I hope that my artwork inspires a sense of possibility and joy in your life!
Have you ever witnessed a Superbloom?

Superbloom
The Superbloom Collection consists of four paintings looking close up at wildflowers, as well as a bonus 5th painting zooming out at the larger landscape. Together they depict some of the colorful species that cover hillsides all across the southwestern United States after a good rainy season.
Each painting focuses on a specific flower, which emphasizes its unique charm and color and brings a burst of springtime into your space.
Floral artwork reminds us to appreciate the stunning natural beauty of the world around us.
